Shorter events
Starting from £395
A more compact package for shorter parties, school events, presentations, charity functions and community occasions.
Includes up to four hours of entertainment, professional sound and suitable lighting for the event.

Extended or bespoke events

For events requiring an earlier setup, extended performance time, additional sound coverage, enhanced lighting or more detailed technical planning.

Charity or community events
Reduced rates available*
Reduced-rate entertainment is available for eligible charity fundraisers and community events, subject to the date, location and requirements of the booking.
This can include up to four hours of DJ entertainment, professional sound, suitable lighting and use of a microphone for announcements, raffles or presentations.
Every event is considered individually, with a clear quote provided before anything is confirmed.
*Reduced charity pricing may be subject to confirmation of the organisation or fundraising cause and may not apply to peak Saturday dates.
What can affect the price?
The price agreed in your booking confirmation is the price you’ll pay, provided the event details and requirements do not change.
Additional DJ time
Additional performance time can be arranged for £75 per hour, subject to availability and the venue’s permitted operating hours.
MEIKAI will not perform beyond the hours permitted by the venue’s premises licence or agreed event schedule.
Travel
Travel within 30 road miles of Aberdare is included. For venues outside this area, additional return mileage is charged at 55p per mile for the distance beyond the included travel area. The full travel charge will always be confirmed before booking.
Overnight accommodation may be required where the venue is more than 90 minutes’ drive from Aberdare, or where the event’s finishing time would make a safe same-night return impractical. Any accommodation costs will be discussed and included clearly within the quote.
Early setup
Normal setup immediately before the event is included. Where equipment must be installed significantly earlier, or where an additional journey is required, an early-setup charge may apply. Charges start from £50 and will be agreed in advance.
Parking and venue charges
Any unavoidable parking fees, tolls or venue-imposed charges will be included clearly in your quote at cost.
Additional equipment
The services and equipment included within your chosen package are provided as standard.
Where additional microphones, sound coverage, enhanced lighting or specialist equipment are required, these will be priced according to the needs of the event. Some items may need to be hired from a third-party supplier; any hire, delivery or collection costs will be explained and agreed before your booking is confirmed.
The organiser may be responsible for reasonable repair or replacement costs where hired or MEIKAI-owned equipment is lost or damaged as a direct result of the actions of the organiser or their guests. This does not include fair wear and tear, equipment faults or damage caused by MEIKAI or the equipment supplier.
